Top 5 Co-op Games on iOS in Africa: Q4 2022

The fourth quarter of 2022 saw significant activity in the co-op gaming sector on iOS in Africa. Here’s a detailed look at the performance of the top 5 co-op games: PUBG MOBILE, Call of Duty®: Mobile, Roblox, Clash of Clans, and Evony.

PUBG MOBILE experienced a notable increase in weekly revenue, starting at around $30K in late September and peaking at approximately $97.9K by late October. Weekly downloads fluctuated slightly, maintaining an average of around 13K, while weekly active users saw a gradual decline from 475.6K to 413.4K by the end of December.

Call of Duty®: Mobile saw its weekly revenue rise to about $43.7K in early November, followed by a decrease, ending the quarter at around $28.2K. Weekly downloads remained stable, averaging around 15K, with a peak of 17.1K in early November. Active users also remained steady, fluctuating between 77.7K and 86.6K throughout the quarter.

Roblox had a consistent weekly revenue, starting at $27.5K and peaking at around $34.8K by mid-December. Downloads showed a marked increase towards the end of the quarter, rising from 7.9K to 10.9K. Active users witnessed a steady increase, starting from 152.6K to 171.4K by the end of December.

Clash of Clans experienced significant fluctuations in weekly revenue, reaching a high of $40.2K in mid-October before ending the quarter at around $17.6K. Downloads remained relatively stable, averaging around 3.8K, with a peak of 4.5K in early November. Active users showed a slight upward trend, increasing from 146.7K to 158.1K.

Evony saw its weekly revenue peak at $21.2K in mid-October and then stabilize around $13.9K by the end of December. Downloads showed a significant increase towards the end of the quarter, rising from 6.5K to 8.9K. Active users also increased, starting from 20K and reaching 23.5K by the end of December.
